The BBC has created a marvellous 3 DVD set all about Merlin, Prince Arthur, Uther and Morgana.. Each episode is exciting, enthralling and magical. So this is a rendition of one of them and I hope you enjoy it. There are two youtube videos to watch too.
Visions of Camelot
Oh how I long for his return
The passing days drag on and on
Melodies seeping through the night
Burned deep into my soul
For those who wait for his return
And for his kisses yearn
Will wait for all eternity in Camelot
The Long Dead Seer
It was into the Crystal Cave
Young Merlin he did go
To save the life of Arthur
And bring him back to Camelot
Led he was into this strange place
Where crystals massed they were
Each one reflecting what was yet to come
The seer long dead led him there
When found him weeping on the ground
Where lay the Prince in mortal pain
Pierced by an arrow of some angry knave
Who tried to kill him in the wood
A wound of dire consequence
Reflections in the Cave
The seer an old man bearded long was he
Knew Merlin was the one who forward at this time had come
To save the country Albion and put young Arthur on the throne
To keep the spirit of Camelot alive his job it was to do
Lured he Merlin into the cave pictures there to see
Morgana and the blood she was to cause to flow in hope of victory
She and Morgause the two of them evil as can be
They plotted both the downfall of that fair place
One filled with grace and joy and turn into a killing field
Merlin he gazed and to his great dismay he saw
Morgana in mirror clear wearing the royal crown of Camelot
And in her bloody hands a knife plunged deep into King Uther's neck
There they were these future things visions cut into crystal bright
Reflecting back to him what could be if it were allowed by he
The Return to Camelot
Merlin he liked not what he saw and turned his head away
But knew the job he had to do to keep fair Camelot
So returned he did to dying Prince with magic healed him well
Then Arthur rose and wondered what had taken place
A soreness he did feel but knew not of the arrow that had him nearly killed
Nor of the sights Merlin had seen in CrystalCave
In haste the two returned to Camelot
There they found day turned night by evil sorcery
Whose knew they not
Uther lying as if dead upon his bed
The courtiers all around him stood not knowing what to do
Then into Camelot's great hall two warriors did step forth
Gwaine and Lancelot by name
Two brave men not of noble birth were they
Nobility in spirit and bearing was their way
This for all to see and heed
They held the kingdom for the King against all manner of foes
And thus the tale goes......
to be continued.....
