"Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according to the graces we have received" - Mother Teresa.
Endless Calls
The poor, the needy, the dying,
They call out loud and crying.
But we never desire to give.
So they people cease to live.
Children, eyes with tears near,
Plead lonely for us to hear.
With pitiful eyes they stare,
But, did we ever act once fair?
Terrible wounds, bleed and hurt,
Old torn clothes, full of dirt,
Why can’t we be one day good,
And serve them necessary food?
Skinny lean body reflects bones,
Hard to hear, sorrowful moans,
Hearts so dry, talks with lie,
They die and we just pass-by!
They call out for us in our door,
Hands held out, they kneel before,
We don’t stretch a helping hand,
Our concrete minds, so very bland.
Our dark eyes glint with pride,
Not pondering on the poor that died.
We enjoy ourselves; We cherish.
They seek us in vain and perish!
They, during night and day, pray,
We are the cause that takes them away!
Their mournful cries, echo on our walls.
Unheeded sounds - their endless calls!

You've touched my heart's chords.
I love Mother Teresa and I also wrote a few pages here on Wikinut about her.
