An experimental 'poetic essay' exploring SAT-CHIT-ANANDA: spiritual awareness, meditation and awakened consciousness, using three distinct poetic styles repeating similar words in different angles of reflection along a unified theme thread.

In the place of unknowing
(where all is known and
profound silence drones without sound)
no effort exists
because we
are
bliss.
Awareness of this
brings the kiss
of
consciousness.
If we’re real
quiet
then it’s contagious:
it can daze us
or amaze us.
Can’t be defined
{nor refined}
because it’s sublime—
beyond time.

Let’s live in the position of unknowing
(where all is known and silence drones, sans sound)
an effortless existence ever growing,
expanding perspicacity profound.
Awareness brings the kiss of consciousness,
illuminating insight into depth
of wisdom so appealing it’s contagious;
amazing us or dazing us till death.
It cannot be defined—it’s too sublime—
yet our receptiveness can be refined
so we perceive the glory beyond time
or distance, as the truth is unconfined.
Through meditation, scrambled thoughts will calm
and we can feel the Buddha in our palm.
Naani
Awareness of bliss
brings the kiss of consciousness.
contagious joy;
where silence drones, all is known.
* Note about Naani: Naani is a form of poetry originating from the Telegu language in India. It is a four line poem of 20 -25 syllables exploring themes that relate 'to one and all' (which is the literal meaning of the name). This form of poetry was introduced by a renowned Telugu poets Dr. N.Gopi, presently working as vice-chancellor to Telugu University,
Andhra Pradesh.
