Essays - Encouraging Epitomes

In today's trend of education, children are becoming lazy to read or write. Because of the search engines, they are restricting themselves to thinking. Whenever they feel something is difficult, they simply search it in search engines without taking some time to think.

Essay being an important part of communication should not be neglected. Every child beginning from 5th standard should be motivated and assigned to write an essay everyday on different kind of topics. Only then, children's ability to think and write will improve.

Essays are of different types. It can be long or short. It can include variety of topics ranging from history to current hot topics, sports to sex etc.

Children should be encouraged to write short essays on different things which happen in their daily life. For example" Opinion about school, exams, sports, famous personalities, current government policies.

Not everything can be researched on the Internet; feelings certainly cannot be. Perhaps we need to out-think the kids by assigning educational topics that step outside their norm.
