This poem is about being lonely and leaving what you had behind only to be lonely the rest of your life.
I heard a man say the other day
I heard a man say the other day..
You don’t about lonely
Until you have lived all your nights alone.
And the sadness that grabs your soul
Is the only
He sat there as I walked away....
The fear in my heart that I knew
The loss of my tears was not
Like the fear in that man’s eyes.
The loss in my heart
As I listened to the wanting
The sound in my chest
Leading me astray
From fate into those arms
With a heart leading to passion
And the loneliness of my mind
With tears running down my soul
with
Only the Lonely
Memories fade and love still remains
Wounds will heal and pain will leave
The world consumes the deceiver souls
Anger misguided with wrought judgments
Eternity is cast into frigid dead coals
Eyes are weary
Body is weak
And my mind is dreary
But there is still lonely’
And still I go on
In this valley deep
But still I must sleep
But I will see what I will see
And I so hope that rests wait for me
We have so little to say in life
Saying words of hate and worthlessness
Expressing our souls
To windows that are open
To a constant view
Catching light and casting spells
Holding on to what one never tells
Sending words with simple glances
But there is still the lonely
The words of this man
Made my breath catch in my throat
With birds fluttering in my chest
I see myself reflected in his eyes
The love gone one last day
Living in this world together
We must stand and unite
A twin flame, of long ago
With love inside has no question
Our hearts will offer no suggestion
Still he said
There is only the Lonely.
