This collection of poems in a variety of styles explore avenues of internal spiritual awareness through contemplation, prayer and meditation leading to enlightenment and illumination (Nirvana, Samadhi).
Awareness is Life's Art--A Rondeau
Awareness is life's art that dares
to stride with rare and mystic flair
along light-paths that tend to rend
perception so our concepts bend,
amending thought to spirit's share.
A bud must burst for blossoms fair
to blend their beauty with the air;
soul's fragrance sends forth ego's end.
Awareness is life's art...
Our consciousness ascends a stair
illuminating truths that tear
apart the lairs of id that vend
illusion that our mind's our friend.
This light the darkness cannot bear-
Awareness is life's art...
*Note- For those who do not know- A Rondeau is a highly musical French form of poetry consisting of fifteen lines with three stanzas: a quintet, a quatrain, and a sestet and a aabba aabR aabbaR.
Illumined Mind
A nonet style poem exploring spirituality, silence and truth.
Wholeness knows a subtle glowing gold
that grows within, yet stays untold
except through penetration
beyond mind--a silent,
cosmic glance of one
refined, who bows
his head to
heart of
truth
Contemplation
A succinct, metaphorical, naani style poem about the spiritual importance of silent meditation.
As water weaves its way
through solid rock,
our spirit finds a path
through silent talk.
Sacred Smile
Short, contemplative, aphoristic poem (a senryu-like style with 5-7-5 syllables).
Surrender
becomes sanctity;
Sacred smile.
Luminosity
The spiritual path leads to the pinnacle of perception through which all existence appears worthy of worship.
At the summit of
spiritual awareness
light is everywhere
each step is sacred, and we
gently kneel to kiss the ground

I mean, there is no denying the fact you have some darn good talent when it comes to writing. I am always impressed but, I also love that you explain the who, what's and why of a poem. For us just learning this art form, it is much appreciated. Just a lovely page all around. Congrats on the star page, it is well deserved. Thank you for sharing.:)
