Lattitude of Attitude

A poetic essay: collection of poems in various styles sharing a similar theme-thread interspersed with metaphorical imagery (though artwork choice and poetic device) to enhance that theme.

This poetic essay explores the spiritual goal of merging with existence and walking a path to joy.

Reunciation and Self-Realization

I)

white Himalayan
peaks trace a mystical sky
sentinels for truth

II)

Let's escape our
individuality

protest this brief performance--

merge
with
existence

as waves, submerged in ocean
disappear

I wish to...

Like all who walk a sacred way

I wish to
wake in wonder

walk
with wisdom

weave words with
awareness ...

wear light

In the Stream of Being...

In the stream of being
every event imaginable
is a tiny bubble.

What is the measure of a life?

Accumulated radiance
in the laughing eyes of love-
that roaring rush of warmth

when heart melts

and eyes moisten
with understanding
so generous
that one can never
blame or hate
nor condemn

"them"

Gandhi looked in his assassin's eyes

and praised God

What is the measure of life?
How often
did we hear the wind
in leaves, the voice of trees
or ocean's drone
and recognize
we're not
alone

we are

All-One

What is life's measure
in the stream of being?

It's seeing the bubbles
broken
and
merged.

Lattitude of Attitude

In spite of life's
Yin-Yang acrobatics,
let overtones of gratitude
punctuate each breath

just as snow capped peaks
accentuate the sky.

Heey rama, I love your pic. Well, this was short and sweet. You wrote this brilliant thought; "snow capped peaks
accentuate the sky." Lovely and peaceful sounding. Loved it! Smiles, Bets

Uniquiness is rama D. of course! : -) Just a quick mention that I have not heard this expression before! "....did we hear the wind in leaves, the voice of trees
or ocean's drone."

(Now that's unforgettable). Someday maybe I will write like that. Smiles, Bets ; - )
