This is a poetry challenge anyone can take part in, it should be a fun exercise and showcase for your talents.
Mark's Poetry Challenge Rules
I will suggest a few titles, all you have to do is write a poem using one of those titles. This is a good exercise and helps break writers block.
I will list several titles, you pick one, "claim" it by making a comment below to show that you are writing a poem for that title - as poems are published I will link the title to the finished poem. I can only link one poem to a title so it is important you "claim" your title. Please only claim one title at a time so others can also get in on the poetry challenge.
This is for fun, sorry no prize money will be given. Have fun, and get writing.
I have tried to pick some strong SEO titles.
UPDATE - As poems are being written I am converting the titles to the links!

Notes and Tips
When adding tags to your article remember to use the key words that are in each title, as well as tagging with: poem, poetry, challenge. Always try to have 6 - 12 tags.
I should be able to find your finished poem to link it, but if for some reason I miss it after a day or two you can post a link to it in the comments also.
I also have a Factual Article Challenge, because over time factual articles tend to get more views and as such generate more income.

Sleeping with Eyes Wide Open
I lookat the world and see what I see,
Is it really what its meant to be.
I see the great sun, the moon the stars,
I see pain, strife the colour bars.
I see people killing and spilling hurting in vain,
I see the world fading and Creator crying in rain.
What do you see with the world around,
Do you see the beauty that does surround.
We are all asleep awake from your slumber,
For we are just ingesting whats all in number.
Open your eyes to see the love,
The greatest of greatest from Above.
It pours down like cascades, the waterfall,
It rains in anthems, the birds morning call.
It flows like the river to the heart of the sea,
If brings forth the life the great breath in me.
We take for granted the world around,
We search in dark places for higher ground.
To feel the enigma that lies with us,
We take our life a blessing make it a curse.
Why are we looking at so blind to see,
The greatest of greatest is love in me.
We can change the world with love around,
For its our thoughts that the world surround.
Sleeping With Eyes Wide Open see the clue,
The beauty of life around wash good as new.
Bringing together the world with love,
We owe our great existence to the one Above.
Open the eyes to learn our world,
Myriad possibilities so unfurled.
Change the outlook to kiss life,
Respect Creation, the Creators Wife.

Mark, I wish there was other titles on here to choose from because I would love to give challenge a try. Never have written a poetry of any kind on any level before. But if I don't choose from this challenge I like to see the next challenge is. I know it has to be factual article. I might be more up to that one.

I will compose now. Oh, I've already told Rd that she can go on ahead with the same poem I composed as you now tolerated/allowed. The more the merrier.
Thanks for allowing two or more authors to pick one title.
Bless you, my friend Mark!

Hello Mark.... There is a poem of mine which you moderated, is giving me a lot of concern. I cannot re-paste its link on facebook as many times as I want (just like other poems and articles of mine) and I do not know why this should be so... It's title is "Beautiful consists of more than one color... I wish you do something about this and see if there would be any correction to make... Thanks.

I claimed that title months ago but when I started making it in my laptop, and left it for awhile, I suddenly realized that I was not able to save it and all got lost together with the poem...so, perhaps, you can claim the title yourself, Denise...I am happy to read it!

Okay they claimed it at the same time. I see the *. Duh. Oh well, maybe one day I will publish it. To be honest, the reason I hesitated in claiming that title when I left my very first message. I was too nervous to even try. Lesson learned: Just jump in and accept the challenge from the get go.:)

Thanks Mark for the link.
Denise, dear friend, go, go, go! You will have poetic license to write poetry because you can disregard a bit of grammar to suit what you want to express. Poetry isn't all literal. It's metaphorical language at play, even an interplay of words as long as emotion speaks from within. Good luck, my friend.

I don't understand why I am getting this now. I read all of my comments yesterday and had none left yet this comes up today with all of the titles already claimed by others. Something is wacky in wikinut! LOL Or is it that you want us to write on a poem that someone has already written on using their same title??? Would that not make them a bit angry using their title??

Odd Judy, this article was from 2 months ago. I picked the titles myself, suggesting people write poems to that title, then linked it up when they did.
