My Dearest Friend

This poem is for a special friend who is many miles away from me. This is my way of expressing how I cherish our friendship.
I Miss You
I think of you each day and night
I wonder how your day went by
It's been a while since I saw your smile
I wish you well and hope you're alright
No matter how far you are from me
Thousand miles apart from me
Rest assured that you'll always be
A very special friend to me
You're In My Heart
I cherish our friendship
You're someone I'll keep
Like precious gem
So genuine and rare
Stay that way, I hope you will
Sweet and gentle, you've always been
Those traits of you that I have seen
Make you closer to me than you've ever been
You'll always be a part of me
You're so far, yet close to me
And in my heart, there will always be
A place for you reserved dearly
I love you, my friend!
