A whimsical poem about my cat, Timmy, who thinks he is an acrobat. And you know, he is!
My Siamese Cat is an Acrobat
My Siamese cat is an acrobat,
He swings from the rafters high.
He jumps up and then looks down,
Then jumps up to the sky.
He thinks it's fun to be out of reach,
I guess a lesson he's to teach.
He's out of touch and all alone,
Sometimes so still he's like a stone.
He jumps from rafter to the floor,
And then jumps up and tries for more.
I love to watch him as he plays,
And, yes, he does this every day!
I wonder if Timmy thinks that he,
Is a bird that flies so free.
But, you know, he is a winner,
And always comes down in time for dinner.

I have often wondered what goes through the mind of a cat. The wondrous things they do amaze daily, yet it all so often seems to be there just to please.
