In this modern time there are people who are "still" slaves.

Slavery, for people who lack understanding is a sour word, or maybe bitter, but if we are going to open our eyes and see in a broader perspective the realities in life, the essence of slavery is practiced everywhere and, practically, of most, if not all, people.

A slave is defined in the Encarta dictionary as:

1. somebody forced to work for another: somebody who is forced to work for somebody else for no payment and is regarded as the property of that person

2. dominated person: somebody who is dominated by somebody or by something

3. somebody accepting another’s rule: somebody who meekly accepts being ruled by somebody else

4. very hard worker: somebody who works hard, in bad conditions, and for low pay

In this modern time there are people who are "still" slaves.
No-they are not slaves by other people.
No person made them a slave,but they made themselves "a slave"
Yes-slaves of their own greediness,lust and love of money.
They choose to be slaves by their own understanding,that power ,fame and wealth are the most important thing in this world.

A passage says :

Slavery is utter deprivation of all human rights of an individual. Nobody is born in this world being a slave to another. It is a sin and should be condemned in strong forthright terms for the sake of humankind. If we can be a voice to millions of voiceless people, that alone is a great service to the world. Timely and most appropriate article. Best regards Oballesansano
