This morning like many of my fellow Englanders I woke up to a frosty world. This inspiration gave way to a poem......
Snowflake - A Winter Poem
PoemWinter Snowflake
Snowflake on the window of my car
Looking like a feather covered star
Unearthed diamond ,clear, crystal white
Perfect to behold in the morning light
Shimmering snowflake captured in the suns first ray
A sparkling jewel to begin this Winters day
My eyes now opened wide in sheer delight
Renewed appreciation of this forgotten sight
Brief moments have I to stand in awe
Before I am frozen to my core
Nature makes me feel so humble
As eager hands for car keys fumble
Into pockets, body warm and wrist deep
This magic happened whilst I lay asleep.

Thank-you Siva for your lovely and uplifting words. They say something like' if you can stop and smell the roses' and this is what I did before writing this poem. love and light to you.

Thank-you Songbird B. it has been oh so chilly here in Gloucestershire but I have a feeling Winter is far from over so we may as well enjoy the 'eye candy'. love and light.
