This morning like many of my fellow Englanders I woke up to a frosty world. This inspiration gave way to a poem......

Snowflake - A Winter Poem

PoemWinter Snowflake
Snowflake on the window of my car
Looking like a feather covered star
Unearthed diamond ,clear, crystal white
Perfect to behold in the morning light
Shimmering snowflake captured in the suns first ray
A sparkling jewel to begin this Winters day
My eyes now opened wide in sheer delight
Renewed appreciation of this forgotten sight
Brief moments have I to stand in awe
Before I am frozen to my core
Nature makes me feel so humble
As eager hands for car keys fumble
Into pockets, body warm and wrist deep
This magic happened whilst I lay asleep.
