Sometimes it is better to close your eyes to all of the negativity around you, shielding them with rose colored glasses.Least it will eat away at you like a parasite until nothing but a empty shell is left. Taking a more positive approach to life will give you a much more fufilling life because positivity breeds positivity. It is those people who are positive that go on to do great things for humanity and the world.
Sometimes A Beautiful World
Have you ever taken a look around
I mean a real hard look
Have you noticed
What I pretend not
Have you noticed
All the fallen
All the down trodden
The war and destruction
Enticing seduction
Have you noticed
An earth crying for mercy
The fires that burn
The green eyed monster
The power we yearn
Have you noticed
The urns that stand still
Lined in rows
And from the dust
They are too easy to fill
Have you seen the things
That I pretend not
To utter the truth
A political transgression
Innocents shot
But I pretend not
And through my rose colored glasses
Perhaps a false reality
Perhaps I have closed my eyes
Blanketing them from the iniquities
From the nightmares that have passed me by
But if I should open them
To see the worst
Negativity would devour
Life with no meaning
All would be cursed
So through my rose colored glasses
I will not bend my head in shame
I will think positively
To do something worthy for humanity
Instead of laying the blame
In a world
A world
Sometimes a beautiful world

Indeed behind all of life's complications lies beauty for when we see beyond we discover that the Great Designer has everything made for a purpose. A great message in poetic lines, Tanya.
