Telephone a poem by Jennifer Jo Fay. A poem about the age old game that spreads and changes over time and by the end of the game you have something entirely different than what took place.
Telephone
Telephone
Have you heard of a long ago game?
Telephone?
It's been passed down for centuries.
Many people can play it,
or sometimes just two or three players.
It usually starts off like this.
"Did you know that Sally said her
husband has had an affair
and that Sally caught them in bed together."
Rumor spreads.
"Did you hear that Sally has had
an affair on her husband? Her sister
caught her and her lover kissing
in the park."
Spreads like wild fire.
"Did you hear that Sally's brother
has killed Sally's friend for having an
affair with Sally's cousin?"
And on and on and on.
And it suddenly becomes
so far away
from the truth.

thanks, might be writing more poetry here. Was told by someone at Triond that they are selling our stuff to publishers and then they get sole rights.
