I wouldn't have to wait for the cold season ... I would be WINTER.
The Next Polar Iceberg
I have prayed
that I may die
the very same day
you pass away.
Will my prayers be granted?
Or will I remain planted
in this realm of existence
minus you?
I'd rather embrace a billion lies
than to exist in a distant truth.
I flourish in the brilliance of your eyes;
two sparkling and precious gemstones.
Attempting a life without you is a sin
so cover me with fire and brimstone.
I would be like a fish
out of my elemental waters
flipping around on the concrete
trying not to drink
the airs of death ...
served, one spoon-full at a time
and every gulp would disable me
more and more until I'd be
in a petrified, paralyzed state ...
motionless but continually freezing.
The more distance you'd travel
away from me the colder I'd get,
and after the frost sets in
I'd open the door and step in
to the cold room of hopelessness,
and wait …
as my transformation
from human to snowman takes place.
Onward and freezing!
While in the distance I'd hear
your echoing whispers calling me
but the icy atmosphere
would steal my name;
as the extreme wintry blizzard
would fill my veins.
It would be
such a frosty slow fall,
my heart would develop
into an icy snowball.
Nothing in my mechanics
would run right, my sight
would never again envision
the glow of your sunlight.
My skin would fail
to feel the warmth of your touch.
My occurring disassociation
with life, love and lust.
That would be me,
I'd exist
in an Arctic Experience ...
robbed of every ability
to write a nice word,
it would be, The Life And Times
Of The Next Polar Iceberg.
