A short writing about the true essentials of life as I see them
A sharp contrast
I like Chopin.I have liked his music ever since I first heard it. It has something about the grace of the XIX-th century, about the still-life of that kind of culture, long lost now. There were no cars then, nor electricity, or computers, or all this kind of nonsense, which are the essence of our lives now.
When night fell, and you did not see over your nose, you had to light a simple candle. I don`t know about others, but for me candlelight has some hypnotic effect, which somehow shows all things in their right shape and nature.
In the XIX-th century you wanted to go somewhere, you got into a coach, and horses took you to your destination. I guess, if time-travel were possible, there would be a green-party heaven there, when sulfur-monoxide was not even dreamed of.
If I could have chosen when to live, it would positively be that era, when people may not have been cleaned with Head and Shoulders, but were infinitely cleaner on the inside.
