Traveled across the country in two days to be with my true love

I drove from New York to Bremerton, Washington in two days! Yes I had a co-piolet, but she slept most of the ride. I drove all but 2 hours of the 44 hour trip. I was so anxious to see my love. He had been in Japan for a year and his ship was decommisoning in Washington!

Trip Across country to be with what is now my husband

I found myself in a place where I no longer fit! It was like a mirical that Marcus contacted me and wanted to get together! The only trouble was he was in Washington. Me being in New York that was over 3,000 miles away! I was determind to be with him though. We dated in highschool so I knew I was doing the right thing! My friend planned on riding out there with me, so much for that. She drove two hours of the 44 hour trip! We rode out there with no gurantees, short on cash, not knowing what to expect, we didnt know where we'd be living. The only reason I was able to make it all 44 hours was because I had a bottle of NODOZ and took a couple every so often. This way I didnt have to drink coffee and have to stop to pee more often. By the time i got to north dakota, I started to lose my mind. I was exhausted and almost felt like just stopping for good! I thought about HIM! Then I spoke to him on the phone and he helped me stay sane. Finally I made it to Washington. Now only 3 hours left! We had to make it to Seattle to take the fary to Bremerton! Thank god we met someone on the fairy so he could take us to the base. If not we would have been lost! When we got to the gate Marcus was there waiting for me! We pulled up and he gave me a kiss for the first time in 2 almost 3 years! I knew right then it was perfect! After i parked I got out, we just couldnt stop hugging. I finally made it, i made the trip of a lifetime that i will never forget. Without this trip i wouldnt be where i am today! I was so exhausted but love is the strongest emotion and feeling of all. It kept me awake for the rest of the day and night. I met all his friends in the Navy, and we all hung out all night! Finally I got to sleep in his arms! It was the best feeling in the world. To feel loved! I will never let distance stand between us agian!
I suggest if you know you love someone and know you can have a great life with them, you should do what it takes to be with them. Whether its driving across the country or just driving across town! Once you feel that love that you know exists you will never want to turn back.
Now we have a house, two dogs, and a baby on the way! I couldnt be happier about my decision to make this work! I love my husband, and always will!
