A Lovesick Human thinks of the graces of his past Lover and Love-life. Originally inspired by the song "Fields of Gold" by Sting.

We were Lovers

We were lovers
We have met
Once awhile

Along the sandy shores
Among the green-weed fields
We were lovers
By the roadside benches
We have met

We held our hands
We looked into our eyes
When the sun was setting
Once awhile
An afternoon

We were lovers
Walking down the steep
Holding one another
Whispering love
A winter

We were lovers
We have met
Once awhile

Under the willow trees
We have met
We have kissed
I think I remember
Those lovely days

I still remember
You will remember
We were lovers
We have met
