The world is deprived of true knowledge and that is the cause of violence. What is knowledge? This article analyzes it.
Should we fight like devils, in the name of God?
Is cutting the head off the best way to cure headache? If yes, we can argue that religions and religious activities should be banned to control riots. As anyone knows, it is not in India alone that ethnic conflicts are there. If it is nature’s method to reduce human population, then, no man can suggest remedy for the ailment because no human intelligence excels that of nature. If not, there is one method-that is, giving true knowledge. What is it? Is it the rate of literacy or formal education and the degrees attached at the tail of one’s name? No! Knowledge is different.
Although science has grown by leap and bound, even educated people are having no outlook regarding the universe. Still, many people think that there are only three worlds- earth, heaven and hell. It is true that hell is here where these types of sporadic violence occur. But, where is the heaven? What is God? Is there God? Is that god He or She as depicted by mystics and the advocates of different religions? Is God a person sitting in heaven on a throne and producing a son or daughter according to His/Her whim and fancies?
What should be God? The supreme Power and Intelligence that creates, sustains and destroys the entire system we are in can be called God. What it should be? Has it a particular shape?
That God is not within us or sitting or sleeping in some secret place. That God is everywhere. What is the only entity in the universe that is everywhere? SPACE! This does not mean that Space is God. It is the ultimate form of God. Stalwarts like Einstein and Carl Sagan failed to realize what space is, although they had searched their entire life. It is the very soul of everything. It is the stuff with which matter (including antimatter) and energy are formed. Time and life are its other two blissful expressions. The authors of The Upanishads, Holy Gita, Holy Qur’an and Holy Bible and many other religious books knew this fact. They called it ‘That’ or ‘God’ or ‘Tao’. But, it was not easy to impart this idea to ordinary people who never had time for meditation. So, the Gurus had to use the word He or She to denote God. Every deed of every organism in the earth is noted down in the book of nature. Nothing is hidden from that Supreme Intelligence. It is in that Intelligence that these galaxies, nebulae, pulsars, quasars, black holes, dark matter, time and energy exist. Does that God belong to any particular religion? What a speck is this earth in front of that God?
But, alas! Here men are fighting as if their god is going to fall down from heaven. If there are gods of shapes why no drop of blood is falling down from heaven? Many are thinking that god is a person being flattered. Therefore, some of them pray day long. Most of those who claim, ‘believers’ are praying for earthly comforts and longer life. Very few pray for knowledge!
It is not the birth but deeds that ennoble the existence of a person and make one superior or inferior. Nobody born in this earth is god. There are great men but they grow and die under the force of this universe. Great Gurus should be respected and be followed but not to be worshipped. Worship should be to the deathless Great Eternity. It will widen human minds. Frogs will learn to peep out from the well they are in.
That is the best method to avoid or minimize communal riots. But, here blind men are leading the blind! Each fanatic shouts at another one! When will they stop using, ‘my god’, and ‘your god’?
I am not the advocate of any religion although I have a Christian name by birth. I am not an atheist or pantheist, but oppose the stories of divine or demon miracles and concept of god restricted in religious institutions since no religious institution can withstand a powerful earthquake.
There is no mediator between man and god. The stories are written for the benefit of some people to exploit others in the name of god.

The negative side of belief is instead of love, religion easily evokes emotions of hate against those who have different beliefs. Most are born into a religion - then we look at others with magnifying glasses to find faults while ignoring our own! That is bigotory, plain and simple. God cannot come and hold our hands; then the game is up! We have to find our way through love. The leaders of all hues live in ivory towers after instigating their followers into mindless violence. We should just refuse to be pawns that are used by them. Thanks for your thoughts, John - siva

This is really the truth sir. The leaders incite others to fight. They are well protected. Poor man's sons and daughters become victims. Thanks
