In the cold days of winter it is nice to keep warm and what better way than to prepare a hot drink for yourself.
A Hot New Year
I like to drink my Earl Grey hot,
E'en from the spout of the old tea pot.
I am known in Wales from north to south,
As the brython with the asbestos mouth!
If the long days of winter give you a cold,
Here's a remedy my friend, you can behold,
A chilli pepper ate like a sweet,
Will blow the socks right off your feet!
I add mustard powder to my drink,
If I need to stay awake and think.
Just the thing for a party on New Years night,
When I want to welcome the morning light!

Rich, I relish your fun poem here, minus the chili or if I ever did chew that red hot thing in my mouth, my house will be razed to the ground what with the tropical climate here where I live.

Hi Richard, Don't know how I missed this one, but it was great. I've been drinking Earl Grey tea for about 2 months now, quite like that distinctive taste.
