Not all Trannies’ are gay. Unlike the Queen's who have almost the same term. Tranny's are different in many aspects and deserve your respect both as a writer and as a reader.

Transvestites for the most part are straight men that like to wear women's clothing for sexual or non-sexual purposes. They merely dress as women.
Transgender are women trapped in a man's body and want to change into their true sex. They are always in a phase of transition. They start their lives as men and throughout their youth and teenage years; they struggle with their identity as men, when they feel as women. That's why they're in transition all of their lives.

The term Tranny is slang for most of the Transgender,

The term Tranny is slang for most of the Transgender, men who dress as women, but are not Drag Queens. They dress as women and live their lives as women because they are women inside. Always refer to them as a woman. "She," and "her," are appropriate ways to call them.
The men that are going through hormonal treatment and psychological evaluations to be operated for gender modification are "Pre-ops." They are going through major changes in their lives and need your support to go through the final stages of their change.
"Post-op," are the women who have gone through surgery and are now living their lives as full women. They will no longer be men in any sense of the word. Even though they can't bear children, they are full loving women that are an asset in this world.

Write with respect about their struggles and their challenges.

When you write characters that are Tranny's make sure, you write with respect about their struggles and their challenges. Unlike the gay characters that don't need to be focused. The Trans for the most part is the focus. Always write it as a stage or purpose of what the character is going through. Most readers will not understand the struggles or challenges Tranny's face in their daily lives.

Yes a lot of people confuse Trannies with drag queens.
