I have lost track of the date when I first signed up on this site, but it is hard not to notice my progress as a Wikinut member.

status as Wikinut member

Well, the more updated you get of your status in terms of the number of pages of you have submitted and the number of followers you have, the feeling of wanting to have more builds up. Aside from those figures you also get to see your actual movement in the community. So far, after having submitted 14 pages, I have also gained 21 followers. As a newbie, I think this is a good number already, but when I see the numbers that other members have, then I sort of realize that what I have done is nothing compared to seasoned members who have already submitted hundreds of pages.

challenge

This somewhat poses a challenge on every newbie. However, there is also something that holds them from going all the way out, devoting 100% of their online time to this site alone. Because when you consider the compensation department, there is nothing to speak of so far, after 14 pages and 21 followers. I mean, not seeing a single cent for all the efforts you have invested can be a damper. Although I am not saying that this could result to complete inactivity on the part of new members, but I am sure that the need to be more active in sites that deliver instant results in terms of money, will push newbies like myself to spend more time elsewhere. But then again, I have learned to like this site in spite of everything and I hope for the best for all members.

My writing will be about life in general. I'd been a teacher before I shifted to being a self-employed person. I happen to have several interests, like I'm a dog-lover, I love to dance and sing too.

Well, having been active at wiki since June last year, I tend to be grouchy now and then but the happiness derived from accumulating many friends, their encouragement and support have outweighed money considerations.
And forge ahead I did, and still will, with putting pen to paper at wiki which has been a non-stop learning and life-affirming experience for me.
I hope you do the same (not grouch..lol). Good luck and Happy Easter!

This is not so much about money at this stage, but about 1) getting followers and 2) ensuring your articles are visible, and 3) publicising your articles on Twitter and the like. The money will follow once people see you consistently providing valuable information.

Hi rarity, we all started as newbies. Sure the money isn't great, but the enjoyment and growth as a writer gained from experience here is certainly rewarding. Forget about the money and enjoy the journey.
