I had a ten day break from this site, so I am playing 'catch up' with posting some of my writings, which were done in the interim.

"Each day is an unborn child" by Jerry E Smith, 10/21/15

Treat each day like an unborn child, full of potential and promise. Let it
Gestate the full time of pregnancy tonight, to be born in the morning
When we all wake up together, then bless the newborn child
With every good thing you can do, as you pass along your
Pathway. Teach the young child that there are
Good people in the world, by BEING one.

"A Mini Bio" by Jerry E Smith, 10/22/15

Ooooommmm…Why is inner peace so illusive, when we are surrounded by
Such beauty? It is a true pity that we cannot simply look at this image and
Still the inner turmoil. I suppose some people can do this; I can’t, I am a
Mess inside at any given time. I can say though, that I am much better
Now than I have ever been. I’ve never been prone to ‘road rage’, or
Things of that nature, but you really don’t want to be on the other
End of the phone when I have a complaint to customer service.
I’m working on that. As are we all, I am a “work in progress”
And I know it. I try to not beat myself up about things, but
I don’t always succeed. I am my own worst critic. I talk to
Myself too; I’m usually the only one around who could
Understand what I’m talking about. *wink*. This
Little bio, is my way of saying that despite your
Flaws, despite the world not being the place
We wish it would be, it, and we, are still
Pretty good things to have around.

"And then there was November" by Jerry E Smith

"November comes and November goes, With the last red berries and
The first white snows. With night coming early, And dawn coming
Late, And ice in the bucket And frost by the gate. The fires burn
And the kettles sing, And earth sinks to rest
Until next spring."
- Elizabeth Coatsworth
“And then, there was November” a friend of mine said this just
Now. It is but another turn of the wheel of life, another time
To spend with loved ones, the smell of pies and spice, the
Crackle of a fireplace shedding its cheery warmth to
Fend off the growing chill. Blazing leaves and stark
Shining skies, all conspire to bring the seasons
Round once more. It is a balance. It is right.
It is the way the world was meant to be.
“The world will turn as it will, not as
We would have it”, so why not
Accept it, with all its flaws
And its beauty? It is right.
