Life, dreams and matters of the spirit

I sat alone here and waited
I sat alone here and contemplated.
I sat alone here and wondered why
I sat alone here and watched me die

All of the teardrops
that fell in vain
All of the heartache
All of the pain

I watched as the sun fell over the trees
All I did was beg,
"God, Please"
I asked forgiveness
for all of my sins
and now I have a new life
to try it all again.

A commencement of the fortitude
I doubt the existence
With sleep to carry us so far away.
Exist not with the sunshine
And live not through the night.

is what comes when peace
makes its way to reality.

Moonlight on my skin,

I begin to move;
steady and slow
hands like angels wings
reaching out to the sky

I embrace the love of the evening
Deeply breathe in the night
As I smile and enjoy the sounds which come as well

It has been so long since we have made love
this creature of nature and time.
Alone in my room of old age and arthritis,
Alzheimer's and the many little things which come in time
with life like mine...

I do not fear the Dark Angel who comes to join my dance.
Instead, I welcome him to my bosom
and allow him to lay me down
in my bed
of Sweet Eternity

Old Age

is like a steady rain in the night
Sometimes fearful
with the thunder and the lightning
ripping us from our sleep.

Sometimes gentle and sweet
The rhythm of the raindrops
Against the window pane
And in the end
When morning comes It's like death.

Sunshine brings a rainbow
And birds sing
To bring rejuvenations
Of life again.
As old age goes.

Life renewed
Like dreams we had
in peaceful times
Of Heaven.
