Some words of optimism to help people through the coming year

Hopefully these positive words will bring positive actions.

2017 has come and gone and while for some, it had been a good year, for others it was terrible.

Whether it is you losing your motivation or feeling burnt out, it is totally understandable. Furthermore, with the New Year about to kick into first gear, the failures of the past can make you cynical about what lies ahead.

But the great things about new years are that they offer a clean slate and with clean slates come new opportunities to right previous wrongs.

Don’t worry about what others are doing. So as long as you feel you are making progress, that’s all that matters. In the end, nothing would’ve mattered anyway. We are all eventually going to die so why not use your time doing things you enjoy?

Don’t be afraid to fall back and look if you are indeed still heading in the right direction. If you find that you aren’t, don’t be afraid to try new things that take you out of your comfort zone. If you happen to fail, it’s part of life. Understand that nothing was ever gained without hard work and that life presents obstacles.

How we deal with those issues defines your success in life and your character. In any case, if it helps with your personal development, then it shouldn’t be looked at as a failure.

Sometimes things aren't as bad as they seem.

Whether it be a matter of personal development being suppressed, bad eating habits, lack of life purpose, lack of individualism, lack of open-mindedness, lack of responsibility, lack of honesty, lack of meeting new people, , lack of physical exercise, lack of awareness, lack of eliminating addictions, lack of life experiences or a lack of priorities, it isn’t irreversible and it’s not the end of the world. Take any of these instances, reverse the psychology and you will go places.

Have gratitude and understand that the opportunity to live isn't to be viewed as a burden, but rather as a blessing and most importantly, take it one step at a time.

When you look back, you’ll see that those small victories you took for granted became a larger thing when put together:
The completion of your goals.
