A poem about a bird and its life of flight and fancy.

A Poem about a Bird

Flying all over majestic and free.
It sits perched on top of a tree.

Its wings perched out and spread.
It folds them back and relaxes instead.

Looking all around and singing its song.
Taking a glance that is not overtly long.

It spots a worm squirming in the dirt.
Trying to hide, not wanting to get hurt.

The bird swoops down at an attempt at a feast.
The worm hides under the grass, not wanting to be deceased.

The bird has missed and waits back on the tree.
Looking for another meal that it can possibly see.
