Disasters should be viewed as a reminder of the destruction of the world, in which we live and the need for the restoration of our relationship with the Creator. So, if we continually blame God, we may never be more mature and wiser

A Reflection of Natural disaster

Some of natural disasters are really categorized as an extraordinary humanitarian event. In 1976, Tangshan earthquake in China killed more than 255,000 people. The earthquake was measured 7.5 on the Richter scale. Other the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, the South Asian Tsunami killed more than 230,000 people in 14 countries. The Hurricane Katrina in August 2005 is more than 1800 people died because of Hurricane Katrina that struck the buildings there, without being able to withstand the storm. These tragedies are a warning from nature that human being should be always being aware of the natural disasters that we will never know when it’s arrival. And the disasters are every time cause of human tragedy.
What is interesting from the human tragedy? Usually it will appear some perceptions of the incidents. There is political interest. Some Politicians who need a voice and political support will soon come to the disaster area providing assistance or just appear to be considered matter. They build more political image which is useful for obtaining people entitled to vote, than empathy and sympathy for the victim of disasters. Even, the Government just concentrates to handle the result of disasters, not sincerely seek the true reason resulting in many victims. The dominant perception may arise from religious approach. It is considered a part of the destiny that must be accepted as God's wrath in humans. Then various clergy assigned to explain to the suffering community to be patient and surrender to God.
People have to learn to the nature that natural contradiction has become a part of nature. God created the whole universe and the laws of nature (Genesis 1). After the flood, God vowed not to bring such a universal disaster on the earth and his people again (Genesis 6-8). This does not mean that there will be no natural disasters, but that the disaster may take place based on the laws of nature. So, people and nature are natural entities that live in parallel, balancing and complementary. Therefore, human being will always need the nature for the survival oh their life, and the nature always need the human for maintaining and everlasting its environment. In some cases, humans tend to exploit nature but irresponsible to manage environment. They have not been fully able to express natural events and do not try to find an explanation than faced with more advanced technology reducing the victims of disaster. Precisely, they should not avail to mobilize support for or on be half of the will of God.
People have the ability to find advanced technology through education and experience that can be analyzed scientifically, with logic and progressive paradigm. Then any disaster event at least can be minimized. Disasters should be viewed as a reminder of the destruction of the world, in which we live and the need for the restoration of our relationship with the Creator. So, if we continually blame God, we may never be more mature and wiser.
