A Sweet Inspiration Without A Star

This is a poem dedicated to all wikinutters. When I first started, I was so desperate for a Star page that I write my articles not so passionately but for the stars and I get disappointed. When I gave up and started writing with passion, then the stars came, kept on coming and do not want to stop coming. Hope you enjoy this poem!

Behold An Inspiration

A mere simple domestic task as nourishing the flowers
with a morning bath
caressed one of my senses
and behold an inspiration.

The unfortunate garden, left in divorce
to cling to my new loves
a pen and a paper
as inspiration is converted to an Idea
which passes through the final refining process
A POEM!

In Engagements

Home sweet home, I visit
log in, account and create a page
engagements in typing,
editing, downloading and uploading.
Oh! I forgot the formatting
finally, a review and the publish button clicked.

My anticipation is gross
my time partitioned
into minutes of fives.
On and off; my e-mail meekly accommodates.

Here comes the long awaited notification
jumping back to the homepage,
clicking the message button
which reads '1',
as my soul wants to jump out
of my body in great excitement.

Article Under Review

Oh not again! It is Mark Gordon Brown!
He let go of his stars
like giving out the pieces of his existence
and bargaining with poetry
is especially not a specialty
of his trade.

A slumped heart
moving two steps down
caged with premonition
was quite uplifted
with the phrase "so be it!"

The long anticipated page
appeared in obedience to my touch
and guess what!
So it was...........................
A sweet inspiration without a Star.

Poetry has never been one of my fortes, as my dear sister Stella will tell you, but the feelings shine through easily even for me to see, in this one. Keep them coming.

There are certain qualifications a page must reach to get a star, we moderators do not give them out. But a click here or there in the boxes while moderating will assign a star or not. A wrong click might give a star where it is not deserved, or take one away that is merited. Sometimes the system glitches too.

Some of the areas that earn more points are - the title, summary, and if there is a preview image. The use of sections, addition of photos, and links. If the article is original and Wikinut is the first place it is published that also earns more points.
A factually article that has lots of information is generally more likely to earn a star than a poem too.

What very interesting information. I was not aware that mods were not technically (I suppose is the word) givers of stars. The chief nut and fellow collaborators must have had fun puzzling that out. ;)

I follow the Star of Consistency,
Its the pathway meant for me.
Onward Onward to the Start,
No More Darkness Eternal Flower.

Bringing the truth within course,
Showing the watchers now in discourse.
As they see the cosmic Lights,
All arising from the Greater heights.

Watching the colours that bring the tool,
Showing resilience even to a fool.
Its survival of the fittest within the heart,
Its where the Star lives never to part.

With rampages of Evil set to destruct,
For the Star has arrived pathway to instruct.
Showing no other ever does it this way,
Leaving all astounded nothing to say.

For Star is who its is the twinkling Light,
Showing the glitter at the darkened night.
Bringing back the glamour transforming whole,
With prayer and intrigue enchanting soul.

With clarity and life now showing the way,
As the Star Gazers have nothing to say.
For they are all reliant on Records of Life,
Which are all in possession with the Coveted Wife.

Shining and holding the Star so true,
Bringing back the Pointer that all once knew.
That a Star shines brighter within Love,
Its all seen within the Skies Above.

With Splashes of Gold, Blue, Silver and Green,
Planet Earth is now so clean and pristine.
Bringing the fact that show the true Way,
The Star just twinkles with nothing to say.

A good poem always gets its due appreciation from the readers. The star is immaterial. So please don't worry about the star and keep writing poetry that enthralls your readers. After all, what you need is a good readership.

Thank you everyone and wow! A good inspiration without a star got a star....

To Mark Gordon Brown, do not bother about what is written here.. I just decided to use you to spice up this poem, moreover, you have always stood on your grounds on writing factual articles to poems... I amongst others I can boldly speak for do appreciate all the efforts, you our moderators put here and we urge you guys to continue in the good work...

Once again, thank you everyone!

Ditto: hear, hear!!
(I had to look up the phrase "hear, hear" to make sure I was right. "Hear, hear" means "pay attention to the smart one who is speaking." But there are those who would think it is "here, here" to which place one wants attention directed.) ;)

I actually do enjoy writing poetry the most myself. I have several published poems, and wish that poetry were more respected, but this world seems to value sports stars more than those who play on the strings in the mind, the poets are left on the curb, while those that toss a ball around are paid millions.

I've made my comments already, but wanted to congratulate you for writing a poem filled with your passion and THEN having the good fortune of such work receiving the star which you thought it might possibly not get. I've also started to follow you as part of my Frigid February Following Frenzy. I think I will really enjoy reading your work!
