A Thought about Dying !

There are two choices I could take with this word - Which one will I choose ? - and where will it lead me ?

Dying To Live !

From the moment of conception - the process begins -
Life and Death - But - which of the two ultimately wins ?
For millions there may not be an audible cry - as
Deep in the womb - they are destined to die - and
Lost to this world - and all they could be - a pauper
Or prince - a worker or shirker - a slave - or
One born to be free ?
But - for all who survive that tempestuous tomb - and
Are released from the - confining depths of the womb -
The wheels are still turning - that will carry us through - as the
Days and the weeks see each of us grow - Onward and
Forward as the paths lead us on - through mountains and
Valleys - and all in between - For richer or poorer - whichever
May be - time is still rolling - like the tides of the sea - In
Sickness and health - through the good and the bad - in times
Of great joy - and the days we are sad - So it is for the millions -
Whosoever we are - the cogs start to slow - and we don't walk so far -
But one thing is true - whatever - age - colour - or race - there
Is one final curtain - that all men must face -
Even the rich - for all their great wealth - cannot buy themselves life
Nor Eternal health - No bribe or forfeit or the games that we play - can
Hold back the reins of the inevitable day - when all mankind returns
To the dust - and I'm sorry to say it - But - this is a ' Must ' -

But - Thanks be to God - Many millions will sing -
' O Grave - where is your torment ? - and -
Death - where is your sting ?
As - we who know Jesus - and through His Saving Grace -
Will be safe forever - and will see His dear Face - As
We enter His Heaven as our final Home - freed from
The confines of Earth - this great Stepping Stone - to
Immortal comfort of - Peace - Joy and Love -
Eternally happy in God's Courts above .

So - whatever may come - Death holds no fear for me - as
I will be Home with my Father and Saviour -
Alive - Well and Free.

And - that my dear friends - is a ' LIVE Certainty '

""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""

In John 11 verses 25 - 26 ...... Jesus said ..

' I am the resurrection and the life . He who believes in Me will live , even though he dies ,and whoever lives and believes in Me will never die .

Do You Believe ?

Thanks Stella for a touching and thought provoking post. Life for me is, in a way, like a test, exam. Now we have computer tests and when we are finished with the test we press"enter" to see whether we have passed! Increasingly, I check myself whether I am on the right track. I tend to live for others and that is getting more pronounced lately! I had written a post on Alexander the Great and how he lamented all his conquests proved to be of no value in the end. He wanted the whole world to know how he felt in his dying moments. Buddha felt the root of unhappiness lies in addiction to worldly possessions and how we ignore the basic fact that we come empty handed though welcomed with joy. Hopefully, when we leave this place and open another door pressing the "enter" sign, we are welcomed after having done a good job here! But that onus is entirely on us! siva

Dear Siva .I do so welcome your input . You can so obviously see where my faith lies , and that gives me great peace at the prospect of leaving this world and its' troubles behind . As to whether I have left a good mark in the process , only God can say , but I have tried my best , as I am sure you have done .
By the way ....you will find many responses from me on your write . They are not intended by me , but I hope you are able to rectify the situation . Thank you and Bless you .

What a work of glory to God and our Savior's work, Jesus Christ.

By the way, a Haiku is a major form of Japanese verse, written in 17 syllables divided into 3 lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables, and employing highly evocative allusions and comparisons, often on the subject of nature or one of the seasons.

Thank you for that explanation . and for your kind comment . Most of my previous poems are Christian in content , but they get hidden on this sight . To read them all you would have to go to poetrypoem.com/poet 7479 that will open my site where they are all easily available . I do love this site , but they both have different merits .
God bless you

Oh this is beautiful, I believe too Stella, and try to treat others as I would like to be treated back, but I am human, and sometimes I don't get it right. Thank you so much !

This shell of our body will die there is no mistaking that , but I know that my spirit will live eternally with my Lord and with all who have put their trust and faith in His saving grace . In that , I am at peace . I pray all my readers will know such assurance dear Ambreen.

Dear Ambreen . It is by the grace of God we are saved , and that , by putting our trust in the Saviour . Jesus , who gave His life for us , but who has risen from the dead , and is alive forevermore.
God bless you my friend
