This is about a once great man who fell destroyed by wicked men yet his heart always remained good although revenge he took as a vampyre against them. A tale here is told of the unholy things wicked men are still doing across our lands.

Safety to find

Through forest of gloom he crawled
On his belly claws outstretched
Grabbing onto darkened loam
Brambles tried to bar his way

His goal a cave in which to hide
Away from brightness of the sun
When dawn broke in eastern sky
Beams filtering through the trees

He knew that safe he would be there
To mend his many wounds
Inflicted by mens' cruel spears
Against him they had come

A Vampyre became

He heard the thump of blackened boots
Still searching were for him
Half man half beast
Yet within a heart of love did beat

Once a mighty man of arms
Regent to the king
Fought at his side so many times
Till in battle he did fall

Taken to a prison dark
Vampyres many came
Tore at his neck
Sucked his blood
Till vampyre he became

Revenge

The part of him that still human
Refused the blood of babes
Drank only from men whose faces
Reminded him of enemies

Against him they had fought
Bringing war and desolation
To countries he had loved so well
Now revenge his only course
Upon which he did dwell

Denizens of the deep

Out of sightless eyes they gazed
Denizens of the deep
Recognizing him
Tears they did weep

To see this man laid so low
One whose power and fame
Across the world had stretched
Bringing surcease to all
Mantles of surety and grace

A Tale herein is told

A Tale within is herein made
Those who cross our world do race
Bringing unholy things
Sucking goodness from all around
Leaving turmoil in its place

They are the vampyres
In every country found
Parading through the streets
Smiles on their faces
Cruelty in their hearts

Those who seek to rob us of our very lifeblood can do what they will to take the joy out of life, but they cannot rob our spirits, can they?

Well said Carolina with a powerful message. All is fair and square in the end as we have to repay and re-balance at some point in time. No one should get away with murder - yes, some smiles are sinister camouflaging greed - siva
