A girl of Sand

A girl, A prince. Another Cinderella story without the evil mother or evil sister. Just the two of them.

Girl of Sand

Torn dress,
Still smile on lips
Broken promises,
Still dreams of hope.

With the green plants,
She inspired herself,
With the beautiful butterflies,
She inspired colors in life.

Didn’t wait for prince's guards,
Didn’t wait for any ravens,
With passion in her eyes,
She gathered herself up.

She walked towards the castle,
A little scared, A little afraid,
For the journey was tough,
She hid herself in a vail.

Neither for gold nor money,
Not even for the glimpse of prince,
She entered the fort,
Not even for her true love.

She had climbed the stairs,
Just to get what she left,
Just for her glass shoe,
which her fairy mary got her.

All thought her to be a gold digger,
Royals thought her to be a lousy beggar,
But Prince still loved her,
For he knew her.

For she was a girl of sand,
who loved moon and not diamonds,
For she was a girl of pixie dust,
who loved pearl hearts and not gold.
