A poem about a lost love....

This is a poem about being in a time of need and missing an old friend!

Needing You

I dreamed a dream of passion
not fulfilled, in a world of impenetrable
circumstances, and your gesture of love
struck me to the core! I had feared the days
of inadequate remittance, and stale, lonely
nights! Oh how I yearned for the sunlight
of thoughts to conquer my darkness
and the despair that haunted my being
and there you were - your hand reached out
in a singular moment of light.

And now years apart I think of you again
in these darker moments, that I feel again -
we all have a shadow to cast, some further
some hidden, but now my shadow is hardly
there - where are you now? At this very moment,
where do you go?

So I can find you and restore my soul?
And then we can conquer our darkness together!

Forever yours!

I love to write - I go through stages of expression - sometimes I concentrate on poetry and then other times I attempt short stories.

I can relate to this poem (feelings), so many times in recent times, i have longed for some people who were true friends, alas, i have no idea where they are now.
