Written for my beautiful girlfriend, a poem about being lost and found again.
Adrift in Sweet Deluge
Her serene, the sweetest rain
I drift somnolent
Into her deluge of devotion
My spirited little sailboat
On course, in motion
Her continuous current
Consoles my creaking timber
Her spate, her spray of blue
Splash into my heart and soul
I awake anew
and welcomed
by everyone whom ever loved
and everything I ever knew
I yaw my head
To kiss the hymn of her wind
If I drown this night
Now, I have surely lived
Before her I do not
Before her I did not
Twas a dream
unremembered
I hope for nothing more this life
For falling evening
Or endless light
Or mind be made up that I made you up
Or hand reach within the heavy dawn
Or Light seep through my fingers
Never to touch another
Within her deluge, awakened
The sweetest rain, my saviour
