On of those mornings, Erika found herself on a different place, and yet, she managed to found the peace her heart was yearning for

One day, she just...

Was she still dreaming? No, actually, Erika was wide awake, but she couldn´t believe her eyes. Last night she went to sleep after a very long day of wearing a fake smile at work. But next day, Erika found herself on a pretty strange world. That place was totally empty, almost as a white canvas waiting to be filled with color. Why did she end up there?
Erika started to tremble as she realized she might have died on her sleep. Last night she was feeling ok… so perhaps she suffered from a sudden stroke?
But, if so, why did she? She was a young and healthy woman who never did drugs, alcohol or something of that kind… No, she mustn’t be dead, because she was able to feel the pale heat of her own breathing. But then, what happened to her overnight? After thinking about it for a while, she realized there was no more room to have rational thoughts. Someone, somewhere, thought she would better living on such a peculiar place, far away from everything the humans beings see as normal. Did she do something wrong? She was almost sure she didn´t. No, Erika wasn´t perfect, but she was totally sure of never have harmed someone on purpose. So, who could have wished for her to disappear completely from Earth? Erika wished to know it, but there was nobody to answer her questions.

Erika was alone on a mysterious place, where there was nothing but her personal cloud of thoughts, forcing her to face what she had been running from. That was scary at first, but suddenly, for the first time in a long time, Erika felt at peace with herself. There was no point in denying the truth; she was alone to face it, freeing herself from a self-imposed mask of perfection.
