Feeling like you are caged by the people you thought you could trust, falling in love with people you aren't supposed to

An Innocent Prisoner

Each day I long for an escape
Each night I'm locked up in fantasy
Somehow my freedom was lost
My captor's don't see the cost.

The four same walls
Night after night passes
They won't hear my cries
They just fuel their lies.

The sun hitting the bars
Wakes me up every morning
I think of different scents
Envy the others presence.

My captor also took away
Something so innocent
He took my heart with him
So chances of my escape are slim.

When I hear his booming laugh
I no longer feel like I must hide
If he stays near it's like I can't hear
So then I feel I have nothing to fear.

It's unbelievable the amount of hours
I pine for my Prince Charming in disguise
I wonder what goes through his head
Each and every time I bled.

Here at my own home, I'm a prisoner
Gambled and lost by father's drunken stupor
I just don't understand why
It hurts when my captor whispers another goodbye.
