An usual yet unusual love story..

It is nothing but common for we middle class Indians to travel in trains but many do not know that these trains have many love stories hidden inside them and such is the story of Pia and Abhay .

Beginning..

It was't really a fine morning and as usual the Kolkata station was filled with numerable people including the shouting vendors and coolies. Dia not really used to such crowd however entered the train to Mumbai which was already 2 hours late.Placing herself comfortably on her seat she looked out for her neighbours . To all those people who are unaware of Indian journeys in trains, i would like to say that we Indians are social animal by nature and are always in search of people and the same strategy applies when we travel in trains to..After 20 long minutes the the train took off with the train master waving the green flag...

Here he is..

She sat there lost in her thoughts only to be disturbed by a man staring at her. She noticed him looking at her from a very long time. Not the kind of girl who would give away to such guys she looked away. The guy feeling a bit insulted tried to look away. Two hours had passed and a journey minus any companion seemed too much for her.She suddenly noticed two girls (both were twins) wrying for her attention. She unknowingly smiled at them and they too wasting no time ran towards her only to be stopped by their mom and maternal uncle. Dia seeing the man was a bit shocked because he was the very man who had been staring at her. She had a feeling of disgust as she assumed him to be the girl's father but soon felt sorry when she heard the girls calling him mama (maternal uncle).

Blossom..

He feeling a bit encouraged introduced himself as Abhay to her . She roughly scanned him and found him a well- built, lean and an attractive man in his 20's. Both of them talked for hours sharing their thoughts on various topics ranging from movies, songs to Politics. She noticed that there were many things which were common between them. She developed an immediate likeness for him.Abhay on the other hand just couldn't take his eyes off Pia.It was 6 in the evening when they reached Bhopal.Abhay like a perfect gentleman bought ice creams for everybody including Pia.. this gesture really made Pia attracted towards him.Few more hours and both were lost into each other not even caring for the two girls who have been fighting for their attention since morning. Both were now sure that there was indeed something between them but neither of them had the strength to say this to each other. It was 10 in the night and Abhay helped pia with her bed. Abhay felt a kind of electricity through his body only to realize the cause was a mere touch of her hands..Not bearing to look into each other they went off to their respective beds but neither of them could sleep. Not bearing anymore Abhay went and stood by the door only to be followed by Pia who couldn't imagine herself sleeping. Seeing Pia coming he became a bit nervous but like any perfect gentle man made way for Pia and asked her if she had any problem. Shyly Pia looked at him.Seeing her shy face Abhay just couldn't cease himself and gave her a long sensuous kiss.. shocked by the touch Pia distanced herself form him. Realizing what he had done, he pleaded for her forgiveness .pia saying nothing just went away to her bed.Abhay couldn't sleep the whole night cursing himself for what he had done...

Climax....

It was 5 in the morning when Abhay got up.. waking up he went straight to Pia only to see her sleeping. The innocence of her face made him miserable.. he just couldn't take his eyes off her and that is what troubled him...

story continues.....

There you go, lovely geeta (reminds me of the Beatles' "Lovely Rita")

Fine story, so sad, too. For, like a tape, you cannot rewind a good thing. Once, the initial enthusiasm get burned, nothing can turn it back.

Excellent poem, geeta. Thanks for sharing.

Very strange case of emotions in an Indian train that too which is crowded and unless and until it is the first class.
If it is first class you still have just four berths out there and with two other girls sleeping.
Indian trains have no privacy and if the above has taken place be sure the guy would have been beaten beyond recognition and thrown out of the train too.
Bhopal area from Calcutta would be impossible just too many hawkers in the second class inclusive of the Second Class A/C sleeper coach.
Two days of journey - actually 36 hours approximately, understandable. Chap is lucky to have made it in one piece.
Seen how we threw couple of guys out of the train with the help of the ticket collector just because they worried us girls while travelling. Guys were Indian Navy too.
Good one though!!!

Fantasitc story - but, you know, all the time I was reading, I was put in mind of the strange and romantic train journey we took between Margao in Goa and Hospet in Karnataka. It was the most fun and fabulous trip EVER!

What a romantic web you weave dear Geeta, so, like Steve Kinsman, I will just have to wait for the rest of the story. Thank you for sharing:-))
