My love, my life, my loss! A memory of what could have been!

Ann

ANN

I’m sorry it didn’t work out,

I’m sorry your youth turned about;

To see you hope, and see you cry,

Led me to see why you said bye;

To search for that which is now lost,

Took a toll on you at such cost;

I’m sorry it didn’t work out,

I’m sorry your youth turned about;

But realize I still love you, babe,

No amount of years makes that fade;

But fleeing here, to seek elsewhere,

Was the loss my soul couldn’t bear!
