April in Maine - A Time of Change

Before the first buds of spring there is a tenderness that touches the soul. Early spring in Maine has a unique beauty, raw and somehow quite desperate...

Time's Rhyme

Shabby, naked, trees
Mar the shoreline,
With shadow and disparity.
In the cove, waves and wind;
Beneath the austere fields of brown,
Spring yet lies hidden.

Metamorphosis

A gentle blue softness abides
On the rhythm of the tide-
Beating back winter's cold,
Melting the last patches of snow.

Offshore, where clouds are low,
A chrysalis sky.

Beneath the Sheath

Season and time;
This waiting earth...
Sheath of soil, and soul rebirth.
Sober land, green of forest pine-
And beyond, the ocean’s shine...

Each and every moment is a time of change and changing - It is just that some display it more flamboyantly than others...

With Spring of life showing the flow,
Bright blue rivers of great glow.
With Golden Leaves lining the world to see,
This the tuft of life just meant to be.

With melting snow time bringing love,
With the truth of life growing Above.
Showing the fact that all got to see,
This is the magic seen in the true form of me.

With love and compassion as time moves back,
Giving more hours to get back on track.
With no other able to get Spring and Autumn rhyme,
One is forward and the other backward moving in time.

Breaking the barrier that defines life,
Showing the fact of the Creators' Wife.
That One grows hot and the other Cold,
Showing the strength of meek and bold.

For it was the fact that now came in to stay,
Of the fact of life that is seen in play.
That no other had seen the truth in heart,
It was all written love in worded Art.

Lovely star page poem and shots. I can't believe Spring can be so chilly. In Australia, we don't have such extremes - one season blends into the next without much change. It is Autumn ( Fall) here now and we still get hot days. Our Winter is mild and Spring is almost like the Summer to follow. I'm fascinated with how the seasons are on the other side of the World.

One thing Maine is rightfully famous for is extremes...this year especially!-LOL...Contrast is big in Maine Susan Jane- it is just so beautiful and sunny..I would love to be able to step out my door and begin to start to garden...but the cold remains and the garden must wait..:0)
