We think that tomorrow always arrive, unfortunately we do not know what happen about tomorrow, may be that day never come to us

Are you really sure that tomorrow comes?

"Tomorrow Never Dies" is a song by Sheryl Crow, which was the theme song to the James Bond film of the same name. The song, co-written by Crow and Mitchell Froom, became her fifth UK Top 20 hit, peaking at No. 12 in 1997. It basically means that tomorrow will be tomorrow, because today is today. So keep looking forward to tomorrow! No matter what happens you will always have tomorrow . There are some people's attitudes to face tomorrow. Some people look at the future with optimism and be prepared properly. Some concider routine activities. Some do not care what happens about the future. What ever their perceptions, they should not resolve to do something tomorrow , if that day will never come.
Tomorrow is actually the rest of the time of our life, and people do not know what a day may bring forth. Therefore, do not boast about tomorrow (Cf. Proverbs 27:1). you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes ( James 4:14), So, what is the meaning of your life?
I know a lecturer as doctorate in Theology. He was ever given a good opportunity as manager in the government, but the opportunity had been rejected. He said to me on one occasion: “Life is a journey, I've been quite happy and rejoice do anything, in which it is good in the eyes of God. According to my view, coming into the circle of power in the government at risk such us corruption, abuse of power etc. So, my life, in existence 50 years, may be meaningless ahead of God”. He had thought about tomorrow as the rest of time should be done according to the God will. I was also familiar with a former minister in my country who parked his vehicle on the edge of the alley. His life is simple not like a manager who is full of all the facilities around it. Indeed, life feels weird when different from the life of the world.
Likely, the way of looking at life is not depend on power, age, simple appearance, wealth or luxury, but depending on the outlook that tomorrow is uncertain time in life. People should be alert and vigilant. Based on life-example above, the rest of their life does not use to chase human desires, but they desire to do the will of God. (Cf 1 Peter 4:2). Paul said: if I had to live in this world, that means fruitful labor for me, he finished the race (Phil 1:22, 2 Tim 2:7). True believers, who live in the midst of God's will, not be afraid of death. This is not easy; they have to finish the race in life.
There is a remarkable story of the heroic spirit inspired many people to fight until the end. he is John Stephen Akhwari, a Tanzanian former marathon runner as participants of the Mexico Olympics 1968. He became famous not because of the number one in the Marathon, but he reached finish line the latest. He fell badly wounding his knee and discolated, however he continued running. The winner of the Marathon, Mamo Wolde of Ethiopia, finished in 2:20:26. And Akhwari finished in 3:25:27. It means the game is over 1 hour ago. When interviewed later and asked why he continued running, he said : "my country did not send me 5000 miles to start the race, they sent me 5000 miles to finish the race". This moment was the head line in news paper at that time. The spirit of Akhwari, who had finished the race, is an example how to finish the game in life as Paul said.
From this reflection, bringing in a study that life is not dependent on length life but its quality, it is not dependent on the beginning but the ending of life. Therefore, let’s always think that tomorrow is the final day, in order to remain us be alert and vigilant to reach the quality of life in the presence of God.
