This is a very short poem about a sheep called Arthur

Arthur the ram is three years old
A stroppy lad and much too bold
Hand-reared from a tiny lamb
But as he grew, he lost his calm.

Out in the field, he was the boss
Over his mistress and her horse
Attack from behind was his favourite play
But a thump on one’s read is sure no joy.

When young he was doctored by the vet
But it did not make him the ideal pet
Things got worse with each new day
Arthur would have to be sent away.

Where could he go this macho ram?
Inchkeith, of course, is the seas were calm.
Sedated and carefully put in the box
His journey began Newhaven docks.

“Sea Hunter” was waiting with Skipper Bill
Who has always obliged and knows well the drill.
Transporting livestock to him is no worry
No matter the shape, the size or how furry.

Now Arthur’s arrived it is hoped he’ll take stock
And happily join in the resident flock
Should he decide to give any a toss?
He’ll find out for sure, that here he’s not boss.
