This is a poem about a writer's job to inspire different emotions from the readers.

As A Writer

My job as a writer is to inspire,
To take your imagination higher,
Bringing forth your heart’s true desire
Let me inside your mind,
Your mind will contemplate,
Your mouth will salivate.

As I explore the hidden doors in the back of your mind
Can you handle being inside my head?
In the dark being led,
Are you afraid yet?

Take my hand,
I will show you the real you,
And why you do the things you do,
I will introduce you to the real you,
You been fantasizing about every tantalizing detail,
And soon they will be revealed

Nicely written and so darn true. We should not take our words so lightly as you have stated, we owe it to our readers.
Thank you for sharing.:)
