Attacking Syria is Part of the "End Game" of the Criminal Banksters

There is a sinister objective tied to Obama's rush to make war on Syria.

The End Game

The use of chemical weapons in Syria is not the actual reason Barack Obama is beating the drums for war against that nation, it is the pretext for a much more sinister agenda. Investigative reporter Greg Palast, in an article titled "Larry Summers and the End Game Memo," published in August, 2013, revealed evidence of a secret plan hatched in the late 1990s which was devised by U. S. Treasury officials and Wall Street bankers to open banking to the lucrative derivatives business. Achieving it, however, would require relaxing banking rules not just in the United States but all around the globe. The vehicle used to accomplish this task would be the Financial Services Agreement of the World Trade Organization. The "end game" required forcing all WTO members to deregulate their own banks and the United States to repeal the Glass-Steagall Act*.

The end game required something else as well: taking down those countries that refused to join the game, the holdouts from the WTO, namely Iraq, Libya, Syria and Iran.

*Glass-Steagall - Act passed that regulated banks, separating commercial banks from investment institutions, which was repealed in 1997, allowing banks to operate with impunity.

Publicly owned and state owned banks

In the Islamic countries just mentioned, banks are state-owned, and in these countries "usury" - extracting rent or interest for the use of money, is viewed as a sin and a crime. According to Palast, "that puts them at odds with the Western model of rent extraction by private middlemen. Publicly-owned banks are also a threat to the mushrooming derivatives business, since governments with their own banks don't need interest rate swaps, credit default swaps, or investment grade ratings by private rating agencies in order to finance their operations."

We all know what happened after Glass-Steagall was repealed

After the banks were deregulated the derivatives business mushroomed into a completely unregulated, highly leveraged, unsustainable 700 trillion dollar pyramid scheme, and when Lehman Brothers went bankrupt in 2008, the entire house of cards collapsed. The only countries which escaped the subsequent meltdown were the Islamic countries previously mentioned, and the other banks that were publicly owned - those in the BRIC countries - Brazil, Russia, India and China. While these countries at least made a show of adhering to Western banking practices, however, the Islamic nations did not. Palast writes "Having failed to succumb to economic coercion, they wound up in the crosshairs of the US military."

In 1997 Timothy Geithner, then Assistant Secretary of International Affairs under Secretary of the Treasury Robert Rubin, sent a memo to Larry Summers, then Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, in which he referred to "the end game of WTO financial services negotiations," urging Summers to coordinate strategy. Palast writes "Until the bankers began their play, the WTO agreements dealt simply with trade in goods...The new rules ginned up by Summers and the banks would force all nations to accept trade in "bads" - toxic assets like financial derivatives. Until the bankers re-draft of the Financial Services agreement, each nation controlled and chartered the banks within their own borders. The new rules of the game would force every nation to open their markets to Citibank, Goldman-Sachs, Chase, JP Morgan and their derivative 'products.'"

The Wesley Clark interview

In an interview on "Democracy Now" in 2007, retired U.S. General Wesley Clark named those countries that were outside membership in the WTO as the new "rogue states" being targeted for take down after September 11, 2001. He revealed that approximately ten days after 9-11, he was told by a general that the decision had been made to go to war with Iraq. Later, the same general said they planned to take out seven countries...Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Iran.

So the next time a president or a Secretary of State tries to sell us on the idea of going to war because of weapons of mass destruction, or chemical agents, put it into the realm of propaganda where it belongs, and know that it is being done at the behest of the banksters - those who engineer every war of consequence.

Well said Steve. We all know it happened in Iraq - give the dog a bad name and hang it! There were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq as UN chief weapons inspector, Hans Blix, maintained steadfastly. Any military intervention will make the ordinary Syrians suffer most. There are other ways the mighty US should go about this issue than be trigger happy every few years - siva

Thanks, Steve. We trust that justice demands that not any more nations become the "end game" of any more U.S. political debauchery, but that instead the banker gangsters and their political stooges in Washington and at the Pentagon become the "end game" of the people's wrath, putting an end to all this war-death mongering for bloody profit.

Not choosing to sound facetious Steve , but this could be straight out of a Bond movie were it not so serious . I for one believe that we are indeed in perilous times whereby there is a man waiting in the wings to take over everything , but there are certain factors that still prevent that from taking place . One is the Spirit of God holding back the reins , and the other is that there still needs to be a One World System of Banking , Religion and Government to be in place , or at least as near to so as to be introduced at the crucial moment . What you speak and write about today does not surprise me at all .. Satan hasn't changed his spots , he still rules by Hatred , Greed , Control and destruction... I just pray that many will be ready and on God's side before the time takes place when the Antichrist appears .
I also pray that President Obama will have the courage to do what is right for the Nation of America.
God bless you

Thanks Steve, you are one of the sane Americans. But how can this cycle of fighting wars thousands of miles from home be stopped? The Gita says that such actions always have a reaction. I pray that the American people don't suffer for the crimes of the US presidents.

America is on the cusp of reaping a terrible karma, for its genocidal treatment of the red man, for its enslavement of the black man, and for its exploitation of the resources of other countries the world over. Thanks for commenting Madan.

oh dear, i do hope such things dont trigger off a series of terrorist attacks. Why dont the leaders think of the ordinary people who suffer, of the soldiers who have a right to live too, of the small child who should be enjoying his childhood rather than living like a refugee, will the president not be sad if it were his own daughters on the street?

The president, when he ran for the office, completely misrepresented himself to the American people. He has turned out to be an even bigger warmonger than Bush. I agree with all you say. Thanks for commenting Deepa.

Well I have a partial answer to why they are targeting those countries now. As for the president, he is not in on it, otherwise he wouldn't have been backing the occupy wall street. But I do believe the banksters and the house and senate are cognizant of this. I don't know how many others but one thing is very clear, you may call it karma but I call it stupidity to think God would allow this to happen without putting His Hand on this power hungry bunch of perps. That was why Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed. I say God has a secret weapon that He will use on these creeps in the end. Never doubt that He will see this come to naught. As for destroying these innocent lives, they will have to pay, preferably with wealth and power, for that is what they want, then that is what should be taken away. I hate power hungry people. For its what God hates. May they receive Triple their works.

in a way we are all sufferers, we are forced to buy the high priced gas/petrol/fuel, we are forced to see ads on tv, we are forced to comply with price rise, if only we disagreed with them

If anyone ever needs proof of the veracity of the maxim "power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely" simply direct them to this brilliant article on Wikinut. Thanks Steve: there's just one word missing ... before "Star Page" add the word "Five" !!
