There are so many words to describe autumn. Different emotions arise in this season. Some people dream, some become nostalgic of the past. Writers are stimulated to write a beautiful piece of their imagination.

Autumn

Farewell to the ephemeral joy of summer. Autumn has arrived in earnest. As I look from a distance by the windowsill, I can feel the spirit of autumn. Autumn is the season of silence, a season that gives a punch of melancholy. It is the season with full of meaning that makes emotion overflow. It’s the time of harvest and abundance, a time to prepare for winter. It’s a pleasant time where we tend to have a good appetite. Autumn has a great influence in me. At this time of the year, I feel calm and can feel romance everywhere. The blue mood of autumn fills my mind with imagination and drives me to write. There is a chilly touch of cold breeze in the morning and evening. Mountain maples shine in the setting sun of autumn. Some are pale and some are in deep colors. Bright leaves of ivy decorate the pines and maples, designed at the skirt of the foot of the mountain. When the sun sinks, the sky is painted in burning red. It’s only in autumn that we can enjoy the magnificent scenery of the setting sun and the crimson clouds.

Floating Leaves

In early autumn, cosmos are in bloom. Tall grass dance with the blowing wind. Flowers are smothered in morning dew. Autumn quietly deepens and tree leaves gradually become tinted in burning red. Then, they wither and fall. Birds hum with the babbling water at the autumn lake as valley of maple leaves overflow and float. As they float with the current of the waves, they are interlaced and illuminated by the sun in various colors.

Falling Leaves

In the long night of autumn, the smell of burning leaves flow in the air. Leaves flurry down the ground before the wind. The cold wind pass through the bush in sadness. A groove of rustling leaves shake and play a creepy melody in the wind. The trees fall smugly as if dying painfully of loneliness and they make a mournful sound.

Withered Trees

There are so many words to describe autumn. Different emotions arise in this season. Some people dream, some become nostalgic of the past. Writers are stimulated to write a beautiful piece of their imagination. Poetry is blown to the wind. Autumn arrives illustrating spectacular beauty of nature and fades silently in loneliness as withered leaves fall and give in to welcome winter.

Hey Mistyleaf,
I need help with something. I'm writing a story and one of my characters is, at the moment, nameless. I would like to name her something that implies fall but not something that would be so obvious. I would I appreciate your input. Thanks
