This poem is to embrace the season's dance that keeps us all moving in a forward motion, yet, the circle always comes back upon itself, as we dance the same dance again and wait in anticipation for the music to change. This poem is one that is in my book soon to be released, "When Nature Exhales." I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for reading.

Ballet of the Seasons

Awaken hearts from winter’s slumber
arise cold ones, no time to lumber
warm night breeze hints of a gentle tune
and gives hope anew to love in June

So bloom fragrant grace from earth’s thawed breast
vibrant yellow yawns along the crest
to capture sunrise and spirited dew,
as kiss across morning glories so blue

Seeds begin life under a green summer morn
until harvested gifts are beauty born,
glorious daisies drink up sun’s rays
laughter swims on waves in ocean’s bays

Fireflies hold magic for evening’s hush
softly lit against darkening brush
and fragrant lavender graces bright August moon
in gardens alive with shooting stars’ boon

Autumn’s colors blend within fire’s zest
when the sun bids farewell and enters rest
Mabon brings celebration from farmers’ crops
as all fields lie dormant after harvest stops

Pumpkins decorate the night in eerie smiles
this trick that’s a treat appears along country miles
as the blood moon dances on graves of the dead
leave apples about to sleep peacefully in your bed

Snowflakes whisper in long winter dreams
of skaters that glide upon frozen streams
red cardinal greets the blue jay, colors on white
eternal life shines with Evergreen’s light

Even when the shadow of stillness walks the land
movement roams in packs, guided by nature’s hand
searching for food under the chilling wolf moon,
as beauty transcends ice and melts too soon

Awaken hearts from winter’s slumber
arise cold ones, no time to lumber
warm night breeze hints of a gentle tune
and gives hope anew to love in June
