A gathering of friends at the beach for some fun in the sun!

Beach Party

"A party, a party at the beach today"
Word spread throughout the sea
The first to arrive
Were the Oysters five
They put on the kettle for tea.

Seahorse galloped across the sand
With his forty seafoals in tow
They whinnied "haloo"
And "How do you do"
They lined up in a row

Next to come was Octopus
ready for the dance
He fixed his wig
Then did a jig
Eight fold his feet did prance.

The Porpoise swam up on the shore
A beach ball on his nose
He tossed it to
The oyster crew
Who had slipped into repose.

The Stingray landed with a flap
He hoped to catch some rays
He stretched out long
And sang his song
Of all his younger days.

The Jellyfish arrived en masse
A thousand two or more
Tummies growled
And Papa scowled
Not enough to eat on shore.

All day the sea folk laughed and played
On the beach with no concern
They sang and danced
Slithered, wiggled and pranced
Not bothered by their bad sun burn.
