When we allow faith in God our Creator to rule in our circumstances, we are able to come to the conclusion that He really cares. Then we experience peace that transcends all understanding.

It Starts With Knowing What Faith Is And How To Use It

In Our Creator's Wonderful Book of Teaching on Life and Love, we find in Hebrews
Chapter Eleven that ~ Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” We could take that a step further for clarity and say that it means being fully persuaded with total reliance on God. It is an inner certainty that He really cares.

Our Creator's Wonderful Book of Teaching on Life ~ has promises for blessings ~ in Christ ~ in this life. Faith is the assurance that we will receive those blessings, and evidence that God keeps His promises.

Faith will knock the socks off fears ~ and help to eliminate some tears

Faith Is Said To Be One Of The Fruit Of The Holy Spirit

It's part of the fruit of the Spirit referred to in Our Creator's Wonderful Book of Teaching on Life and Love in the New Testament Book of Galatians in Chapter Five: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith . . .

How Does One Obtain Faith?

For the most part, we find that Faith comes by hearing and hearing God's Word.

That's found In Romans 10 and Verse 17

What Is Grace And What Part Does It Play?

Grace is free and ~ it's for you and me ~ coming from the
unmerited favor of God.

It is manifested in Salvation ~ for every nation, tribe, and Tongue.

It includes the bestowing of blessings.

Salvation comes by grace through faith. This is according to Ephesians Chapter Two.

For this ~ I am eternally grateful.

Diligence And Patience Are Required

Through the Storm and through rain ~ even
in heartache and pain,

there's a great need for diligence and patience.
Realize that no matter how badly you want something,
b]there will be times you just have to wait.

Because He Cares He Has Given Us Victory Over Circumstances

vic·to·ry ˈvikt(ə)rē/ noun
an act of defeating an enemy or opponent in a battle, game, or other competition.
synonyms: success, triumph, conquest, win

This is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? Taken from Our Creator's Wonderful Book of Life in the Epistle of First John ~ Chapter Five.

if we are saved not of ourselves, is faith of our self, or is it more a God given gift that we possess, but must embrace for it to become real for us?

Nicely put together Helen.

Thanks for your comments ~ Spirited. Grace is the 'gift'. Faith is our response to the gift of grace.

This is what I've come to understand: In the New Testament the English word 'faith' is used to translate the Greek word 'pistis'. The New Strong’s Expanded Dictionary of Bible Words says, 'pistis' is used to describe 'belief' with the predominate idea of trust ~ or confidence ~ whether in God or in Christ, springing from faith in the same. ‘Faith’ means trust, confidence, assurance, and belief..

The Bible also defines 'pistis' in Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

So faith is the assurance of things we hope for, but have not yet received.

Faith ~ confidence, belief, trust ~ is also our evidence of that which is not seen ~ the invisible spiritual things.

Faith comes before a prayer is answered or before an individual has received what he or she has requested from God.

Thanks again for commenting. Richest blessings.

thanks for answering my question so well Helen.

To me, faith is an aspect of love that allows you to love more fully because you trust the object of that love.

Grace is a name for that living love of God’s that he has gifted to each one of us, and which lives in our heart, just waiting for us to live solely from its energy, in our being of our real selves for God, within his kingdom, which is everywhere where love is.

Thanks for stopping by again ~ Spirited. Getting down to the
nitty-gritty of it, I think you are making a valid point.

Since God is Love ~ and He created everything that was created ~ His Love enables us to respond to His gift of grace. This appears to be what you are saying ~ in a different way.

At any rate, blessings to you.

I am so glad that by Faith I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour dear Helen .
My life has been far from easy , but truly blessed, and I thank God every day for His loving kindness and His forgiveness for all my sins ...which I receive by faith .
One day , with the same faith , I know I shall see my Redeemer face to face ...
What a day of rejoicing that will be .
Be very blessed today by the Good Lord my friend
Love from Stella ><

Thank you Helen, I know of few everywhere for whom faith gives them the ultimate solace.

I have a lifestyle to do what is right all the time and what it is is prompted from within, and when in doubt - do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Also, the intentions should be honorable but actions speak louder than words - siva
