To watch, to behold, the agony of our nation as she is being killed – liberty thrown away!

Bleeding Before My Eyes

I watched as we pulled the trigger,
And saw her fall dead to the ground,
You sure could have heard a pin drop,
Except for baying of hell hound;

She lay bleeding before my eyes,
No life it appeared in her now,
But, oh, yes, there was some movement;
And the insane masses did scowl;

Grabbing without hesitation,
They sought to plunge their knives in her,
They only wanted what was theirs,
And it meant answering the cur;

To their posterity not free,
They’d gladly given it away,
Just so they could all share the wealth,
Do nothing for it but just play;

So, as liberty lay bleeding,
Across the fine, smooth marble floors,
They heard their vile master coming,
He was knocking, knocking down doors;

Giving up freedom’s full promise,
For some small, moldy clumps of bread,
They ne’er realized how wrong they were,
Or that they were already dead;

The new master took advantage,
Of tedious naivete,
Gave them crumbs to taste and beg more,
But giving them ’stead anarchy;

She lies bleeding before my eyes,
But, tiny hope and life remain,
Maybe the masses will restore,
This country’s truly lovely aim.
