A poem inspired by the jazz of john coltrane and miles davis as well as many blues artists
Blue Train
In the mood and it rolls
scooped my shoes and trawl
along the curbs and spines,
for soles and miles
Davis pines, and blue Trane blows.
Up a step, and down
a seventh here and there a frown.
"No, I'll shower in the morning."
When moments fall in course,
run their set and fall apart.
To empty drinks and half remarks,
mumbled please and watched the cars.
I'll never leave these city streets,
apologize for smoke filled bars.
Behind cigars we muse and meet.
A poem inspired by great jazz and blues musicians
