Bullying goes so much further than the bruises that you can see. Todays society with all its up to date ways of communication allows the bully to invade your home and most private of places.

Bullying - A Poem

I'm suspended on your verbal cross
But you don't recognise I've lost
You're so busy banging in more nails
With fresh skin that's turned to scales
Spouting put downs that never fail
Laughing as my face turns a ghostly pale.

Your eyes and ears now glow the hottest red
Aware I'll recall all that has been said with dread
You've brought to life my deepest darkest fears
Delivering cheap insults with the accuracy of spears
Are those a tail and horns I see appear?
As you revel in each cascading tear.

I'm so numb I should be dead
Your poison runs marathons around my head
Flowing into each and every pore
Leaving me a sobbing mess upon the floor
A curled up foetus sore and raw
Pain penetrating to my very core.

You sense my discomfort as meat to the hound
As if to the Devil you are tightlyBullying bound
Into my wounds you force salt by the pound
With more dialogue your twisted tongue has now found
Knowing in the silence I can't block out your sound
Leaving me to wish I were six foot underground.
