It is not possible to control the change, whoever tried paid whether it was the church before renaissance, suppression of women or genocide by Hitler. The only work which can be done is to give direction to the change.

Example

If you cannot maintain this constant, there is still a hope. It can be given direction. A proper guidance can convert a talent/knowledge/sector into use for mankind and vice verse is also possible. For example nuclear power (a cliche of this domain) used both for destruction and construction. It destroyed Japan but it is the single main power source (>78%) for France. It is just like smoking.
In another case, a recent Bollywood movie “Paan Singh Tomar”, which is based on the real life of athlete turned dacoit named Paan Singh Tomar, describes how India’s one of the best athlete and shooter turned into a dacoit because of the government's inability to help him out. As a result, a talent which could have helped India bag medals was looting the coffers of the innocent people.

Indian Hockey

In case of Indian Hockey, there was the time in mid 1900’s when Indian hockey was at its peak. It helped India bag eight Olympic gold medals and made India known in the world of sports. But, today this game has lost its craze in India, because it could not give a proper direction to the change which could keep up with the changes happening around it. The condition is so bad that the achievements sounds like science fiction stories where mouse can sing like bird. For example, popularity of the game increased the competition among the upcoming talent and with that came a baggage of malpractices which were not under check and hampered the game. A poor decision which made use of money and power to reach at the top a norm. Further, influence of media and easy ladder for the top lead to lose of focus among the players. The condition became so worse that everyone (both players and non-players) was trying to cover up their acts and lead to complete elimination of the Indian hockey popularity not only from the world map but also from the Indian map.
Education can give shape to change as talked in next section.

First of all, I should congratulate the author for choosing such a beautiful title that speaks much in itself. Whatever Indian is not today is due to poor management of the sport. Once the organizing body wakes up Indian team will be the team to watch. The golden history of the sport will justify my thought.
